Since the data is private, maybe allow a manual sync option using iCloud or a shared folder. I use both my iPad and iPhone and would like to see the same logs on both.

Yes, manual sync would be great. I hate having to re-enter everything when I switch devices.

I agree. Maybe just an encrypted cloud backup that only the user can access.
